DESIGN WORKING PROCESS

Project Working Process

Project Working Process
From Discovery to Delivery
The project followed a structured, sprint-based process from requirement grooming and workshop alignment to UX wireframing and validation. Insights from the workshop directly informed experience flows, while a scalable design system was established to support UI execution. After UX sign-off, the project moved into UI design, final approval, and development handoff.

Design Workshop
Strategic Alignment & Prioritization Framework
From cross-functional ideation to validated roadmap direction.
1
Parallel Breakout Ideation
Participants were divided into three cross-functional groups across separate FigJam boards and calls. I led Team A.
Method
30-min topic sprints
Color-coded notes:
🟡 User perspective
🟠 Admin perspective
Sticky notes grouped into subcategories within each team
This ensured balanced input across frontend experience and operational realities.

2
Internal Synthesis
Between breakout and main session:
Internal team consolidated outputs
Merged similar ideas across groups
Organized subtopics under core themes
Prepared Impact Vote board

3
Impact Vote (Value Prioritization)
Cross-Role Impact Alignment
All participants reconvened at a centralized board. Each role received 5 votes per topic, guided by:
“How big is the potential impact for KPI and/or user?”
This created:
Immediate visibility of high-impact themes
Role-weighted prioritization
Quantifiable alignment
Impact revealed what matters most.

4
Ease Vote (Feasibility Validation)
Cross-Role Impact Alignment
Before closing the session, we layered feasibility into the equation.
Sticky notes were reorganized by:
Topic
Impact priority tier (Must / Should / Could)
Each role received 1 vote per sticky note.
Effort was evaluated using a structured scale:
3️⃣ → Independent execution (≤1 sprint)
2️⃣ → Team collaboration required
1️⃣ → Cross-team dependency
0️⃣ → Multi-team / long-term effort
5
Impact × Ease Mapping
By combining both voting rounds, we created a clear execution matrix:
🟢 High Impact / High Ease → Quick wins
🟡 High Impact / Low Ease → Strategic roadmap
🔴 Low Impact / High Effort → Re-evaluate
This directly informed sprint planning and UX wireframing priorities.

Understanding the Challenge

Understanding the Challenge
Analyzing the Framework 🧩
Before beginning the redesign, it was essential to develop a clear understanding of SEAC’s existing learning ecosystem, including its structure, hierarchy, and internal logic.
This involved mapping how components such as Learning Tracks, 4Line Learning, Learning Styles, Course Structures, and Enrollment Rules connected and functioned together. Through this analysis, key pain points and system constraints became visible, forming a strong foundation for more informed UX and UI decisions throughout the project.

Understanding the Challenge
PROJECT SCOPE - SEAC Central 🔴
SEAC Central is their learning platform, the main hub for courses, certified programs, events and opportunities to which their members can access.
Multiple methods of learning (self paced documents and videos, live online and in-person classes) for any individual or organizations with self-paced and scheduled classes.

Understanding the Challenge
PROJECT SCOPE - YourNext U 🟡
Within SEAC’s learning ecosystem, Your Next U offers courses designed for learners of all ages and backgrounds, while Your Next U Young focuses on programs tailored to younger audiences.
As part of the overall website revamp, it was important to adapt the design and brand identity of these sub-platforms while retaining structural consistency across SEAC Central and Your Next U; ensuring the experience remained engaging and intuitive for both adult and younger learners.
